ABOUT THE PROJECT

Arkeo is a boutique architecture and interior design studio specializing in residential and commercial spaces that balance functional precision with artistic expression. The brief called for a complete brand identity system that would reflect the studio's philosophy of structured beauty — designs that are rigorous in their logic but warm and human in their feeling.


The project encompassed the full spectrum of brand identity work, from naming refinement and logo design through to a comprehensive visual system covering typography, color, texture, stationery, digital applications, and motion branding elements for use across presentations and social platforms.

THE CHALLENGE

Capturing the balance between precision and warmth in a visual identity


Architecture and design studios often fall into one of two visual traps — either the brand feels so minimal and cold that it loses personality, or it leans so heavily into warmth and texture that it sacrifices the sense of precision and expertise the industry demands. Arkeo needed an identity that sat deliberately and confidently in the tension between these two poles.


Key challenges included:


  • Defining a visual language that communicated both rigor and warmth

  • Creating a logo mark adaptable across digital and physical applications

  • Building a color and texture system with clear architectural references

  • Developing motion identity elements for digital brand touchpoints

  • Ensuring the system felt premium without becoming inaccessible

The creative strategy was built around the concept of considered contrast — pairing sharp geometric precision in the structural elements with warm, organic tone in the color palette and typographic choices. This tension became the visual signature of the brand rather than a problem to be resolved.

VISUAL DIRECTION

The Arkeo identity is anchored by a custom wordmark drawn from geometric principles, with letterforms that reference architectural drafting — precise, intentional, and quietly confident. The primary palette pairs warm charcoal and natural stone tones with a single accent drawn from aged brass, creating a material-forward color story that feels both timeless and contemporary.


Texture plays a central role in the identity system, with subtle paper grain and structural grid overlays used across print and digital materials to evoke the tactile quality of architectural drawings and material samples. The motion identity translates these principles into elegant logo reveal animations and branded transition sequences that feel deliberate and considered — never decorative for its own sake.

The identity has elevated the studio's market positioning, attracting higher-value residential and commercial commissions while providing a visual foundation strong enough to support the brand's growth over the long term.
